Picture rugged mountain tops sweeping down to flower filled meadows with bubbling streams and spectacular waterfalls. You will find this and more in the Les Contamines Montjoie valley. An ideal location for numerous mountain sports and activities this hidden jewel also offers a tranquil environment in which to relax and unwind.
 
 

 
The summer season offers a wealth of attractions for all and includes a wide range of activity based pursuits as well as leisure and children focused entertainment.
 
A well established walking centre, the Val Montjoie provides an excellent selection of walking routes to meet the needs of all standards and levels of fitness. Our apartment is in a perfect location for serious walkers being quite literally a 5 minute walk to the famous GR5 and tour de Mont Blanc routes. And for those who prefer to have access to higher level walking you can reach these areas via the cable cars which are open during July and August.
 
Les Contamines also has a nature Park with a small lake where you can swim, sun bathe, hire canoes and picnic.
 
For those wishing to explore Les Contamines cultural side, visit the two baroque churches in the town. There is also a lively season of music usually held in late August. The week long programme of concerts providing a delightful diversion from the more physical pursuits.
 

 
The Les Contamines tourist industry is well organised and offers an excellent selection of activities to choose from. The following is merely a taste of the type of activities available in the valley; we hope this will wet your appetite.

If you would like to venture further a-field why not visit Megeve, Chamonix or the medieval town of Annecy.
